Are you already missing escaping from your daily life by watching live concerts, going out to dance with friends, and spending an hour or two in our favourite museum? If the answer is yes, don’t worry: we’re here to bring comfort and relief into these challenging times.

From watching an Opera Concert to checking 800 stunning works by Frida Kahlo, we gathered 5 online events that will help you get your culture-fix and dance your heart out without leaving your home!

Nighly Met Opera Streams

Every day, Met will live stream a different encore presentation from the company’s Live in HD series for free! Each performance is available for 23 hours, and the schedule will include plays by composers like Richard Wagner and Georges Bizet. How amazing is that?

Faces of Frida

Thanks to Google Arts & Culture you can check amazing art exhibitions from museums around the globe. Our current favourite? “Faces of Frida”, a compilation of 800 works by the Mexican artist shared by 33 museums and art centres.

#pinadecasa

The Pinacoteca do Estado São Paulo, in Brazil, created the action #pinadecasa on its Instagram account. Since people won’t be able to go to the museum over the next days, they will post, daily, works from the museum’s collection accompanied by curiosities, historical data and comments from the curators.

Indiefrente

Great news for the Lisboetas: Indiefrente is now live streaming its sets every Thursday and Friday on their Youtube channel. For the first-timers: Indiefrente is a cultural project which organizes independent music parties in Lisbon. Turn on the volume, grab a drink and pretend that you’re enjoying a sunset party with a view!

Art Basel Hong Kong

Annually staged in Basel, Switzerland; Miami Beach, Florida; and Hong Kong, Art Basel is an international art fair that presents modern and contemporary art by the world’s leading galleries. Since this year’s Hong Kong edition was cancelled, they created Online Viewing Rooms and uncover their wide array of curated rooms featuring high-calibre artworks.
